Percentage

The percentage of chat sessions initiated by customers that are ended before a resolution. High abandonment rates can indicate customer frustration, long wait times, or unhelpful support.

Formula

(Number of abandoned chats / Total initiated chats) x 100

Example

If 15 out of 100 chats were abandoned by customers, the Chat Abandonment Rate is 15%.
