Mobile Retention Rate measures the proportion of users who continue to use the app over a specific time frame after installation. This KPI is vital for assessing the app's ability to retain users and its long-term appeal. High retention rates are often indicative of a valuable and engaging app experience.


(Number of Users Remaining After a Set Time / Number of Users at Start of Period) * 100


If 800 out of 1,000 users who downloaded an app are still using it after a month, the retention rate is (800/1000)*100 = 80%.
